Confidence and Self esteem
I am especially passionate about helping people with confidence issues. I have seen people who had struggled to speak up within their relationships, pursue positive relationships for themselves, progress at work, and make important decisions for themselves because of their perception of themselves. Such confidence issues may have been caused by major changes to some-one’s life, such as losing particular abilities through a Stroke etc. Other times, such confidence issues can be a lifelong issue and can be traced to early life experiences. It takes time to address these issues, and, in this space, I aim to help people to understand the origin of their problems and how it impacts on their current progress with life goals. I have found it so rewarding to see people tackle barriers to their confidence and achieve life goals.
it is the right time to improve your confidence
Sometimes lifelong issues with confidence and self-esteem can lead to depression and anxiety. Some people dismiss their confidence issues as just being shy and may not seek appropriate help. Yet, they struggle with major life events and the pursuit of goals because of their low self esteem. If you feel as if you are holding yourself back because of your confidence and you are ready to start breaking through and up, please reach out for help.
how can schema therapy help
Although every person is different and come with their own experiences, Schema Therapy can be particularly helpful when addressing lifelong confidence issues. It focuses on identifying lifelong maladaptive thinking patterns and coping responses in reaction to particular triggers or events that occur. These thinking patterns and responses may have developed from unmet needs in childhood, which keeps getting stronger over time. The purpose is to weaken these over time and to build more healthy and adaptive patterns of thinking and coping responses. This is a very simplistic explanation but the process can be quite emotional and rewarding at the same time.
